Public Speaking

I have spent the past few years going out on the road to discuss the books I write and the colourful characters that populate the narratives. Whether it be talks at a literary festival or a museum, on the radio or presenting to schools and colleges, I try to capture the imagination and encourage discussion with my audiences. I have given  talks on the major UK and US podcasts including BBC History Extra, the Rest is History with Dominic Sandbrook and Tom Holland. I have also spoken internationally at the Wende Museum in Los Angeles, at the British and American embassies in Berlin, the National WWII Memorial in Washington DC, and will be appearing at the Bergen International Festival in Norway. Please see my diary for upcoming live events later this year – such as Stanfords Travel Writers Festival at Olympia in February, IWM Live at Duxford in March and We Have Ways Fest 3 in September. I hope to see you there!
